The Givings Coordinator has the responsibility of ensuring that the offering is counted after each service, results are tracked, and then receipts issued at year end. There is a faithful group of counters who work in pairs each week to accomplish this.
Each week following the service the offering is counted, documented as required, prepared for the bank and then deposited. Malcolm then takes the information and enters it into a computer program in order to track receiptable donations and issue tax receipts. Added to this information are the Electronic Collection Plate (ECP) amounts given by our parishioners. The information on ECP comes from the Diocese quarterly.
