Pre-COVID, this was a much-looked-forward-to annual event where the voice students of our friend and neighbour, Patricia Plumley, offered a concert at our church. In between performance numbers by the young students, the audience would sing their favourite Christmas carols. It was an event that brought the community together and allowed them to celebrate the season with song.
In order to both keep safe and continue this tradition in some way, this year’s Carols by Candlelight was recorded in our church the evening of Advent #3 with family members of the young performers in attendance. The sense of joy was palpable and the spirit of JOY very much in attendance.
