The Little Church That Gives…

The little Anglican Church of St. Mary in Nanoose Bay continues to give generously to our local community. This year, in light of the growing humanitarian crisis in war-torn Ukraine resulting in a migration of refugees to our local area, we have decided to support local Ukrainian refugees with 50% of the profit raised by our annual Christmas Fair, which is on Saturday November 26th from 9:30am to 2pm.

This is always a fun event with a café, 'Attic Treasures', baked goods, and a silent auction. So come and join us for a coffee and muffin or lunch and peruse our tables of goods, get some unique Christmas gifts, and bid on the wonderful silent auction items that have been generously donated by local businesses and individuals in our community.

Locally, we support Nanoose Community Services, a food bank alternative, by providing them rent-free space and office support. Internationally, we support charities in Tanzania and the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development, relief, refugees and global justice (PWRDF). In addition, we provide the community with a public cemetery in the form of our Memorial Garden and a unique St. Francis Pet Cemetery in our forested property.
