Dear Parishioners,

I neglected to ask KAT to attach the Palm Sunday activities.

I guess I was thinking to send them to our one family but then, had reconsidered thinking, this is an opportunity for us all to enjoy some creativity!!

So if you want to do something special for tomorrow, you can create your own palm crosses +/or palm fronds and tape them up in a window for others to see, or simply enjoy them as part of your table setting or altar.

Here is the link to the instructions to make palm crosses from construction paper:  https://mommysnippets.com/paper-palm-crosses/

I receive so many little videos, jokes, poems and audio clips. I’m sorry I’m not too savvy about being able to open many of them!   I’m attaching a couple of them below.

I want to thank Shirley Bays for her incredible work in keeping our website up to date!! She’s been putting in a lot of hours lately to keep us informed and connected.  Thank you, Shirley!!

Don and others have been keeping an eye on the church and hall buildings; thinking of ways to reduce our costs and keep everything safe.  Thank you!!

And thank you to Elaine, who rang the bell at St. Mary’s on all of our behalf this past Wednesday at noon, to recognize and thank all the front line workers for their dedication to our care and well-being during this pandemic. We will continue this gesture, with all other Anglican churches on the Island, every Wednesday.

I’m going to imagine meeting with all of you in the Hall tomorrow at 10am, with our palm crosses, reading and singing, and then processing to the church by the magnolia trees, under blue skies and warm sunshine!!

Thank God for our imaginations!

Blessings,
Selinde
