FROM THE DESK OF THE RECTOR

With all that’s happening in the world around us, and with life opening up again and the stress, albeit good mostly, involved in this, this prayer speaks to the need to live in the moment. For it is only in the present moment that any connection with life, with God, is possible.

Look to this day, for it is life, the very breath of life. In its brief course lie all the realities of your existence; the bliss of growth, the glory of action, the splendor of beauty. For yesterday is only a dream, and tomorrow is but a vision. But today, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day.

I look forward to seeing many of you in church on Sunday!

Thanks be to God.

Church reopening and worship this Sunday August 15, at 10am.

Please remember to wear a mask.  There will be a Matronal Day social time outside after the service so please bring a chair, your beverage of choice - and a hat if so inclined!

There is a NEW Readings Roster sign-up sheet for the next couple of weeks for the readings, psalm and prayers of the people.  The sign-up sheet is located on the table in the entrance of the church.  We need two “bubbled” people per service.  And what is “bubbled”, you ask…it is either a couple or single readers who are comfortable reading together until Dr. Bonnie Henry’s Phase 4 announcement in early September.  One will do the psalm and prayers of the people while the other does the two scripture readings.

The new and updated 2021 PARISH DIRECTORY will be available August 15th.  This year the cost is by donation.

We placed this half-page ad in the Nanoose Business Directory’s latest issue to everyone who contributed to our new roof!
