Shrove Tuesday Pancake Lunch was a great success this year with even more children attending.  Many thanks to Marrianna and her brigade of volunteers.  A special thanks to Sher and the young people of the parish who made the beautiful decorations for the tables!    

The Altar Guild meets Monday March 11th at 10am.

The Care Team meets on Monday March 11th at 1pm for a presentation on How to Communicate Effectively and Compassionately by Selinde based on her work with Nonviolent Communication. Please join us if you are interested. The Care Team will meet briefly after the presentation.

Are you looking for inspiration? Looking for how to express your experience and passion? Come attend the workshop “What Gives You Joy?” with Mary Holte on Wednesday, March 13th at 1:30. RSVP to the office so we know how many folks to expect and prepare for.    

Coming in MARCH: Community Dinner is fast approaching.  The delight this month is Shepherd’s Pie & all the fixings on Monday March 18; 4-6pm.  Please let Elaine know if you can help.

Every Wednesday in Lent there will be a 1/2 hour of quiet contemplation & prayer in the library just before Bible Study & Hymn Sing.        

Coming in APRIL: Bottle Drive and Yard Sale Saturday April 6 10-2pm.  Please bring your recyclables and items that need a new home anytime.  Tell your neighbours too.  The more…the merrier.  Please let Val know if you can help out in any way.     

Coming in MAY: Tickets for The Spaghetti Cabaret on May 4th will go on sale next Sunday. Only $20.00 each - includes a delicious meal and entertainment.  Parishioners get first offer; after April 1st, the tickets will be available to the larger community.  

OTHER: We are getting low on coffee. If you feel moved to buy an extra can of coffee when you see it on sale, the kitchen at St. Mary’s would be a grateful recipient!

There are greeting cards for sale in the Hall. If you like watercolours and flowers, you can buy artwork by Selinde’s sister, Helen Krayenhoff, for the amazing cost of $12.50 for 5 cards (blank inside). All proceeds to St. Mary’s!

This Saturday we have a time change, our clocks SPRING forward. So set your clock ahead one hour on Saturday night and you won’t be early for church on Sunday!
