This Sunday is the Commissioning of the NEW Parish Council. It is also our 3rd Sunday presentation. Two people from NCS (Nanoose Community Services) will speak to us briefly about the amazing work they do in this community.

We have cancelled the Community Dinner for this coming Monday. Please let anyone you know who usually comes that it has been cancelled as a precaution.
Options for your returnables: If you would like to donate your bottles to support the international charity Tumaini Canada, bring your returnables to the church. The next bottle drive in support of Tumaini is coming up on Saturday April 4th. If you would like to donate your bottles to support St. Mary’s, a new account has been set up at The Bottle Depot beside Buckerfield’s, 611A Alberni Highway. Thank you for donating your returnables!!

Lenten Events at St. Mary’s
1. Retreat with Rev. Bill Tarter Saturday, March 21st, 10am – 3pm. By donation. Lunch provided. This retreat is meant to lift you up in the middle of Lent, to give you a new perspective on turning back to God and God’s love. Please register soon with KAT.
2. Sung Meditation with Gillian Guy Wednesday, April 1st, 1:00pm. Come and learn chants to lead you into contemplative mediation. No need to be able to read music. One hour in the church. FREE.
Cindy invites everyone to her ordination to the priesthood in Vernon on Tuesday May 5th. She is looking for people to come and join her for this special day. If you are planning to go, she is looking for a lay presenter, communion assistants (2) and a reader. Please contact her if you would like to help out.
