This Sunday is the First Sunday in Lent.  There will be a handout of Daily Lenten Practice suggestions for you at the back of the church on Sunday. Remember, we are trying something new this Lent, entering the church quietly to allow folks who want it, some prayer time before the service begins. Please head over to the Hall if you want to connect and talk with others. A bell will ring 5 minutes before the service to give you time to head over to the church. Thank you for your cooperation with this experiment!

What an amazing Shrove Tuesday pancake brunch we had…. maybe the best ever!  There were so many volunteers (and we needed them all) that we ran out of t-shirts! We were able to accommodate the whole school population from Nanoose Elementary – no one got left behind. We were told that Nanoose Elementary is the envy of the district because they get to join us each year for Shrove Tuesday! The weather cooperated for the most part and we had adult visitors from all over – Ontario, Saskatchewan, Parksville and Nanoose; old friends and new ones.  Norm from the Pie Factory graciously grilled all the sausages at his location at Nanoose Place and Red Gap Quality Foods donated all the butter so if you think of it, kindly thank them for their contribution to our annual pancake fest! A big shout out to Marrianna and her team of volunteers!!  Please return your laundered blue t-shirts this Sunday if possible. And there are a few plates of cooked sausages for sale, by donation.
