Update from Don, who had surgery this past Tuesday: "Surgery went well. Thank you all for your prayers. Everyone has been so caring."

This Sunday we will have our 3rd Sunday (I know, it’s actually the 4th!) talk with Dorraine coming to speak to us briefly about Cursillo, a weekend “small course” in Christianity, helping people live more faithfully.

Our next Parish Social will be on Tuesday November 26th from 4-6pm at Mary Holte’s. Everyone is welcome! Sign up in the Hall or RSVP to KAT in the office by Nov 20.

How was it to have moved around in the pews last Sunday? Were you able to meet different people?

There is still room in the Shortbread Baking workshop on Thursday, November 14th at 11am with the former Primate, The Most Rev. Andrew Hutchison, who has real talent in the kitchen. Please sign up in the Hall on Sunday.

The CHRISTMAS FAIR is fast approaching: Saturday Nov. 23rd, 9:30am - 2:30pm.  The Christmas Gift Basket program is a great fundraiser for St. Mary’s.  Any items donated are greatly appreciated. The items can be themed or generic.  The deadline for item donation is Sunday, Nov. 10.

Parish Council:  Are you interested in learning more about what your annually elected Council does?  Would you be interested in serving in the capacity of Parish Council member?  Please talk to someone on the Nominating Committee if you might be interested, either Elaine Cowan, Clair Davies, or Mary Holte. Elections are at the Annual Vestry Meeting on February 9th, 2020.

Next week:

Don’t forget about HUB Wednesday every week followed by a free lunch!

Christmas Fair Meeting: Wednesday at 12:30 in the Hall.

Still needed:

1)   Someone to take over the Card Ministry (sending out cards on behalf of the parish) while Arlene is south for 3 months starting mid-December. Arlene will happily train you! Please speak to her.

2)    We need a Kitchen Coordinator to keep the kitchen organized and clean. Not to do the work per se, but to organize folks to do what is needed. Interested? Please speak to one of the wardens or Selinde. Thank you.
